Everything in a new vial reduces to six figures. If all six are written down before the first injection, nothing later in the vial's life requires fresh calculation. The point of assembling them at mix time is that mix time is calm, whereas the moment before an injection is not.
Figure one is vial strength in milligrams, straight from the label. Say 5 mg. Figure two is your intended dose in milligrams, decided before any water is opened. Say 0.25 mg. And the milligrams per unit, 0.025 mg here, which lets you convert any unit count in your head without a device: 14 units is 0.35 mg, 6 units is 0.15 mg.
If you titrate, extend figure six into a short ladder at the same concentration: 0.125 mg is 5 units, 0.25 mg is 10, 0.375 mg is 15, 0.5 mg is 20.
